It’s Finally Time For Answers That Actually Help
Most adults who come to us have spent a lifetime being told they're too much or not enough. Maybe you've always felt different but never had language for it. Maybe you've wondered about autism for years but never had a formal evaluation.
A private autism assessment for adults gives you a better understanding. It's a comprehensive, specialist-led evaluation that looks at how your brain actually works so you can stop guessing and start understanding yourself.
What is an autism assessment for adults?
Mind Medicine Clinic was created by and for people who have never quite felt at home in traditional mental health spaces.
Dr. Rebeccah Lyles, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is the founder and a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner in Albuquerque with 8 years of nursing experience. Before that, she spent 15 years as a hairstylist — giving her a deep understanding of hard work and how to connect with just about anybody.
She's joined by Allie Walker, LCSW, and Kyla Lyles, LCSW — a queer, neurodivergent, and BIMPOC team of clinicians who bring their whole selves to work.
What to Expect
Before Your Assessment
You'll start by booking your appointment and paying a 50% deposit to hold your spot. The remaining balance is due two days before your assessment. We'll also have you complete intake paperwork beforehand so we can make the most of our time together.
During Your Assessment
Your assessment is a four-hour interview with Niles Hewlett, LCSW. Niles (he/they) is a specialist evaluator with deep expertise in adult autism and ADHD assessment. Together you'll explore your history, your experiences, and the patterns that have shaped how you move through the world.
The assessment covers autism and ADHD if you choose to assess for this as well.
After Your Assessment
After your assessment, you'll receive a full diagnostic summary report with clear, actionable findings. You'll also receive accommodation letters if needed, follow-up support if you have questions, and an in-house referral for medication management if applicable.
We’ll ensure you won’t walk away with more questions than you came in with. We want you to feel seen, understood, and prepared to move forward.
