The Mind Medicine Assessment
You've spent years wondering how your brain works and why you feel different. We’re here to explore this with you.
Mind Medicine Clinic offers a private neurodiversity assessment for adults in Albuquerque and virtually across New Mexico — screening for ADHD, mood disorders, and more.
It’s Finally Time for Real Answers
Most adults who come to us have been figuring things out on their own for a long time. Maybe you struggle with focus, follow-through, or overwhelm. Or your mind never quite settles. Maybe you've done the therapy, tried the self-care, and still feel like something is off.
The Mind Medicine Assessment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that looks at how your brain actually works. We screen for ADHD, mood disorders, and more — giving you language for your experience and a clear path forward.
This isn't a quick checklist. It's a thorough assessment with an affirming provider — here to help you finally move forward in a way that feels good.
What to Expect
Before Your Assessment
We recommend starting with a Vibe Check — a quick $50 intro appointment to make sure Mind Medicine is the right fit. Once you're ready to book your assessment, a 50% deposit is required to hold your appointment. The remaining balance is due two days before your session. We'll also send intake paperwork to complete beforehand.
During Your Assessment
Your two-hour, private assessment is with Dr. Rebeccah Lyles, DNP, PMHNP-BC. We’ll cover mental health and family history, trauma, current symptoms, and the patterns that have been getting in the way.
We screen for ADHD, and mood disorders — and take the time to actually understand your history, your patterns, and what's been getting in the way.
After Your Assessment
You'll walk away with valuable language and insights that help you better understand yourself — and options for next steps that actually fit your life. Whether that means medication, ketamine, talk therapy, or simply having a diagnosis that finally makes sense. We'll also help you figure out the best path forward.
If medication makes sense for you, we can provide recommendations you can take to your own provider — or continue care with us through ongoing medication management and therapy.
Who Is This Assessment For?
This private neurodiversity assessment is for adults who:
Struggle with focus, follow-through, or emotional regulation
Have always felt like they were working twice as hard as everyone else
Experience anxiety, depression, or mood challenges and want helpful answers
Feel easily overwhelmed by sensory overload, social situations, or change
Suspect they may be neurodivergent but have never been formally evaluated
Are a unique weirdo and want to understand how their brain works
We welcome adults of all identities. Our assessments are especially affirming for queer, BIMPOC, and women and femmes seeking ADHD and autism evaluations — communities that have historically been overlooked and underdiagnosed.
Available in-person in Albuquerque and virtually across New Mexico.
Why Mind Medicine for Your Private Mind Medicine Assessment?
Most psychiatric evaluations feel rushed and impersonal. You fill out a form, answer a few questions, and walk out with a prescription and more questions than you came in with.
Mind Medicine is different.
We take an intersectional approach to neurodiversity assessments by looking at the whole person, not the symptoms. We understand that being queer, BIMPOC, or living at the intersection of multiple identities shapes how neurodivergence shows up and how it's been overlooked.
We don't need you to mask, perform, or fit yourself into a diagnostic box. We want you to show up exactly as you are.
Meet Dr. Rebeccah Lyles
Dr. Rebeccah Lyles, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and the founder of Mind Medicine Clinic. She has 8 years of nursing experience, including work with the Indian Health Service, bedside nursing during the pandemic, and inpatient psychiatric care.
Before entering the mental health field, she spent 15 years as a hairstylist. This experience gave her a deep understanding of hard work and how to connect with just about anybody.
Rebeccah is also neurodivergent herself. She knows what it feels like to go unrecognized and unsupported in systems not designed for unique people. Her lived experience shapes the personalized support she provides.
